Jasprit Bumrah marked his comeback in whites with a brilliant delivery to dismiss Shadman Islam in the very first over of the inning. The batter was shocked after facing the delivery as he couldn't understand the ball in the first place. Bumrah bowled a length delivery angling into the top of the off, and since Islam didn't cover his stumps, the ball chipped off the off stump.

It was a class act by the bowler as he returned to Test cricket after a really long time. Islam went out for two runs, giving India their first wicket. This dismissal might have decreased Bangladesh's confidence since Bumrah's fierce bowling level is unmatchable. He's simply the best bowler, without any doubt.

Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto has switched to an attacking approach as he was seen playing good shots against the bowlers. This might be the visitors' strategy to put pressure back on the Indian bowlers. However, this approach might backfire at any point since India have Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj running from both ends to send the batters back to the pavilion.

Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja take India's score to 376 runs

In the first innings, after India's batting line-up crumbled, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scored 113 and 86 runs respectively, helping India reach a respectable total in the end. Jadeja missed his century as he was dismissed early in the morning. Both of them stood like lions on the crease and smashed the Bangladesh bowling attack.

After Jadeja's wicket, the tail-enders kept returning back to the pavilion, but the required score was reached, so it didn't affect much. Moreover, the Bangladesh team will have to score more than 500 runs to get a winning result, or India will easily win the game. The batters will have to perform in the 2nd innings, ensuring India's win in the 1st Test match.
