Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers (SRH) came out all guns blazing in the important IPL 2025 game against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday. Pat Cummins’ decision to bowl first after winning the toss paid off as DC lost four wickets before the end of the powerplay overs. Ishan Kishan was keeping wickets instead of Heinrich Klaasen and made an immediate impact.
In the first ball of the fifth over, Abhishek Porel was facing Pat Cummins who was bowling his third over of the innings. The left-handed batter tried to play a flick shot but only managed to mistime the shot. Ishan Kishan kept his eyes on the ball and then took a brilliant catch to help dismiss Porel for eight runs from 10 balls.
Each of the first three wickets that fell on Monday night belonged to the Cummins and Kishan combination. By the end of six overs, Delhi Capitals were placed at 26 runs for the loss of four wickets. Delhi who had started the season with four successive wins have lost their last two games of the season to slide down to fifth in the table.
