WATCH: Irfan Pathan and Shane Watson hilariously recreate Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas' 'shoulder-barge' incident

The ‘shoulder-barge’ controversy involving the Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli and teen Aussie debutant Sam Konstas drew an ocean of opinions across the global cricketing fraternity. It also happened to create a divide of opinions among the former cricketers, experts and fans of the game. Some criticized Kohli while some defended him and termed it a ‘part of the game’.

In the same line of events, former India all-rounder, Irfan Pathan and former Aussie all-rounder, Shane Watson have come up with something interesting and hilarious while recalling this incident. Pathan and Watson hilariously recreated this ‘shoulder-barge’ scene during a pre-game show before a special Kabaddi event in Melbourne, ‘PKL Melbourne Raid’. The event is being held in Australia just a day before the iconic ‘PKL 2024 Final’.

“When we played each other, we were fine, we were okay, but now when we see each other, we look after each other’s shoulder because we’ll like to tackle the shoulder,” said Irfan Pathan jokingly before giving a shoulder bump to Shane Watson. This amazing moment between two brilliant all-rounders of their era happened to create a big laughter among all the other presenters.

Just a day ago, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan made it to the headlines for his heated on-air argument with the ex-India batter Sanjay Manjrekar. The incident took place after the end of the second day’s play in the ongoing Boxing Day Test when Manjrekar and Pathan were discussing the tragic run-out of young India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal followed by a confusion and mixup with Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli.

Manjrekar was seen criticizing Kohli and felt that the latter was responsible for the youngster’s run-out. On the other hand, Pathan was strongly of the opinion that it was not Kohli at the line of fault but the situation also demanded responsibility from Jaiswal.
