The IPL authorities called off the IPL 2025 game between PBKS and DC in Dharamsala. The officials communicated that the reason was the floodlight failure in the stadium due to a power outage in the area. However, some other reports are claiming that the match has been called off due to the cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Indian Premier League, Arun Dhumal, was seen requesting the fans to leave the stadium after the game was called off. He was also looking quite panicked while asking fans to evacuate the stadium.

BCCI to decide on the continuation of IPL 2025

In the same line of events, the upcoming Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians has been shifted to Ahmedabad from Dharamsala. The game was scheduled to be played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, May 11. The shifting of the game was confirmed by Gujarat Cricket Association’s secretary Anil Patel.

“Yes, the match between MI and PBKS will now be played in Ahmedabad,” Patel was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

There is also an uncertainty over the continuation of the ongoing IPL 2025 amidst the escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Speaking of the action of the game at the time of the match getting called off, PBKS batted first and had smashed 122 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in only 10.1 overs. Priyansh Arya had scored 70 runs off just 34 balls, with five fours and six sixes, alongside Prabhsimran Singh’s 50 runs off 28 balls, with seven fours. T Natarajan had scalped 1 wicket at just 4 runs in 1.1 overs at the time of the call-off.
