Meanwhile, a few sources are also claiming that the cross-border tension and rising conflict are also reason. The reports suggest that the recent attack in Jammu may be a reason, as the authorities were already looking forward to shifting the venue from Dharamsala to Ahmedabad for the upcoming PBKS vs MI match of May 11, with specific mention to the cross-border tensions.

PBKS vs MI game moved to Ahmedabad from Dharamsala

Notably, Jammu is just 197.6 km and 5 hours away from Dharamsala, so the recent attack from Pakistan is also being speculated and reported as a big reason for the Dharamsala match getting called off.

Meanwhile, the upcoming PBKS vs MI game of Sunday, May 11 has been shifted to Ahmedabad, which has now been official. Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Anil Patel confirmed this news to the Times of India. “Yes, the match between MI and PBKS will now be played in Ahmedabad,” said Patel.

The decision came in the aftermath of the Airports getting shut down, which are closed to nearby to Dharamsala. So, the travel was not possible for the Mumbai Indians from Mumbai to Dharamsala.

Speaking of the action of the game between PBKS and DC before the game was called off, the hosts, PBKS, batted first after winning the toss and posted a big score of 122 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in 10.1 overs. Young Priyansh Arya had smashed 70 runs off just 34 balls, with five sixes and six fours, followed by Prabhsimran’s explosive 50 runs off 28 balls, with seven fours.
