Indian cricket Team is sweating it out and practising ahead of the second Test match versus Australia. The game is set to be played at the Adelaide Oval with the Pink ball, marking India’s return to Day and Night Test cricket after two and half years. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen giving it all during the nets session ahead of the game.
Rohit was seen facing up to the pacers with the Pink Ball and he was seen working on his defence. The 37-year-old has tended to poke at the ball outside the off stump just like he was dismissed during the warm-up game against Prime Minister’s XI on Sunday.

Many fans will want to see India’s skipper back at his best and score runs. There is still no clarity over Rohit’s batting position. Former Indian star Harbhajan Singh, during his chat with the media, has stated that he wants to see Rohit open the batting. In case the team wants to continue with Jaiswal and Rahul at the top then Harbhajan has suggested Rohit at bat at 3.
Aakash Chopra wades into the batting order debate
Yet another former Indian cricket star has joined in the debate about India’s possible batting order for the 2nd Test. Aakash Chopra took to his YouTube Channel and suggested that Rohit Sharma would be batting in the middle order. The last time Rohit Sharma batted in the middle order was in 2018 ironically during the Australia tour.
Aakash Chopra said, “It looks like Rohit Sharma will not open now because there was only one pink-ball practice match against the Prime Minister's XI, and in that, Rohit came to bat down the order. He did not bat as an opener.”
The former Indian star also added, “When the India vs Australia pink-ball Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starts in Adelaide on the 6th, it would have been 2170 days since Rohit Sharma last batted in the middle order. He did that last in 2018, six years ago, at the Melbourne ground. He hasn't batted in the middle order for India in Test cricket after that.”
