The camaraderie between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli is quite famous and popular among the cricketing fraternity across the world. When MSD handed over the captaincy to Kohli, he was pretty sure that his 'Cheeku' would take Indian cricket to a different level. Fortunately, Kohli didn't break the trust of his senior and did exceptionally well in all the formats of the game, even as a captain. However, he couldn't lay his hands on any ICC trophy as a captain, but he did take India to a great height.
Talking about their friendship, MS Dhoni opened up about Kohli and how great a player he is. Moreover, he emphasised the fact that they have been colleagues for a really long time and doesn't know if Kohli thinks of him as 'an older brother or colleague'. But if we look at their history, and their statements on each other, it's pretty obvious that they share a bond which is much more than being just colleagues.
"We have been playing since 2008/09, there's still an age gap. So I don't know whether I would say like I am an older brother or colleague or whatever name you give it. But at the end of the day, we have been colleagues, you know, who played for India for a very long time. He has been amongst the best when it comes to world cricket," said Dhoni at the event.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma to play in Bangladesh series
The legendary duo of India, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be a part of the Indian team for the upcoming Bangladesh series. The duo will miss the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024 as the Board was worried about the injury scene and hence, kept them out of the domestic tournament. A lot of former players opposed this decision and felt that the batters could have been a part of the domestic set-up to be in practice.
However, the Board's decision felt more suitable, keeping their age and fitness in mind. Plus, the long Test season for India is starting from September and they can't risk injury of valuable players. India will be playing against some tough teams like New Zealand, Australia and England who are the strongest contenders in the WTC 2025 race. Hence, it's necessary for players to be in their best mental and physical health to uphold the incoming challenge.
