WATCH: Hardik Pandya promises to give special gift for Kashvee Gautam

When Kashvee Gautam met Hardik Pandya after the Gujarat Giants were eliminated from the WPL 2025, she had a fangirl moment. The Giants were eliminated from the tournament on Thursday, March 13, after losing to the Mumbai Indians, the 2023 winners. Hardik attended the game at Brabourne Stadium with Kieron Pollard, the MI men's batting coach.

Hardik Pandya, captain of the Mumbai Indians, was at the stadium with his teammates to see the crucial match between the Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. He met with the young pacer and struck up a friendly chat with her, which made her quite happy. Following the game, Harleen Deol introduced Kashvee to Hardik, the Indian men's all-rounder. 

After a while, the topic of cricket came up, and Hardik was curious about her WPL season. A few moments later, Harleen Deol told Hardik that she not only respected him but also often imitated him. Harleen also revealed that Kashvee has HP33 written on her bat. Hardik thanked Kashvee Gautam and then enquired as to whether she bowls as well. The GG player said that she does. Later, Hardik enquired about Gautam's bat weight and even offered to have one shredded for her.

Mumbai Indians to face Delhi Capitals in WPL finals

Kashvee Gautam was seen returning to the dressing room in a cheerful mood after the MI skipper shook hands with the GG teammates. On the other hand, Gujarat Giants suffers defeat in the play off match against Mumbai Indians women. Mumbai Indians women defeated Gujarat Giants by 47 runs to get into finals. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews both scored 77 runs each as they posted a total of 213 runs. 

Mumbai Indians will now play against Delhi Capitals in WPL 2025 in Mumbai. The two have met each other in the inaugural WPL season. Delhi Capitals becomes the first to reach three back-to-back WPL finals. However, they are yet to win the WPL trophy but this time around Meg Lanning and Co. are aiming to get their hands on the trophy which is running away from them.
