New Zealand's fielder Glenn Phillips took a blinder to dismiss Shubman Gill in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 finals. Well, this isn't the first time he has taken such a catch in the tournament. He is known for his outstanding fielding, and he showed the world again that he is capable of taking some extraordinary catches on the cricket field. Captain Mitchell Santner bowled a brilliant delivery, and Gill played it towards the cover.
The ball was going above Phillips' head, but he jumped and pulled off an unbelievable catch inside the 30-yard circle. It wasn't an expected catch and the reaction time was less, too. However, he somehow managed to take the catch. This speaks volumes about his fielding skills in general.
India lost their first wicket in the form of Gill after making a 100-run partnership in the game. Rohit Sharma has been outstanding at the other end of the innings. The player scored a quick half-century, releasing the pressure off Gill.

Gill scored 31 runs off 50 balls, including just a six. He didn't hit any boundaries. After Gill's wicket, Virat Kohli came in and was dismissed by Michael Bracewell while he was batting on just one run.
Will India win the Champions Trophy 2025?
The ongoing game between India and New Zealand has taken a good turn as India have a strong chance of winning the game. Skipper Rohit Sharma's solid innings will surely lead India to their second ICC trophy within a year's gap. While India requires around 130 runs to win the game, they have eight wickets left.
Along with Rohit, Shreyas Iyer is batting and has had a good tournament so far. However, even if they lose any wickets now, the team has players like Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and KL Rahul to carry on the chase. With less than run-a-ball, India are marching towards victory.
