Fans were reminded of one of the popular dance moves Virat pulled off in the past. When India won the Champions Trophy 2013 by beating England in the final, he pulled off a popular dance move while lifting the title. He danced the hook step of 'Gangnam Style' which was highly popular at the time.

Fans wished to see Virat dance similarly after winning the Champions Trophy 2025 final. Unfortunately for Virat fans, there was a shocker as the star batter was dismissed early in the final against New Zealand. Michael Bracewell got rid of the experienced batter as he got the ball to turn hugely into Virat's pads.

Kohli could not read it, and the ball struck his pads plumb. Despite Virat taking a review, the decision did not change, as three reds confirmed his dismissal. After getting India across the line in the semifinal against Australia, Virat could not shine in the final against the Kiwis.

India was handed a double blow by their opponents. After India got a good start, thanks to a good opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, a blinder of a catch from Glenn Phillips pulled NZ back into the game. One brought two, as the Blackcaps got rid of Gill and Virat in a quick succession.
