Recent reports about Rohit Sharma said that he is not entirely healthy and would hardly play against New Zealand. However, a video that tells a different tale has suddenly surfaced. After witnessing this video, Hitman lovers will also be pleased. Rohit had been said to be unable to play against New Zealand, and at a prior practice, the batter chose not to participate in nets.

The Indian skipper was closely watched by head coach Gautam Gambhir when Rohit batted on Friday, two days before the game. Rohit was out for a while during India's fielding during last Sunday's match against Pakistan due to hamstring pain. Before being removed by Shaheen Afridi for 20 off 15 balls, he did bat in the game and played in his usual aggressive manner.

KL Rahul clears airs on fitness issues

In India's tournament opener against Bangladesh, Rohit put up a strong 41 off 35 balls, giving the team a strong foundation for the 229-run chase. Key players, like skipper Rohit and bowler Mohammed Shami, are not concerned about their fitness, KL Rahul reassured amid escalating talks over squad rotation ahead of the semi-finals.

“Fitness-wise, there are no concerns about anyone missing a game as far as I know,” Rahul clarified during a press conference on Friday. Although India has already qualified for the semi-finals, the question of whether key players should be rested or whether momentum should be maintained remains up for debate. While KL Rahul admitted there is a tendency to test different combinations, he stressed the importance of players getting as much game time as possible before the high-stakes knockout phase.
