In a post-T20I series victory over England, India's head coach Gautam Gambhir spoke about several issues with the Indian squad. Gambhir discussed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy turmoil that plagued the Indian squad in December and January. Gambhir led India to a 4-1 series victory over England.
After the game, Gambhir stood up to Abhinav Mukund, Parthiv Patel, and Kevin Pietersen, answering each of their questions and explaining his position in turn. When Kevin Pietersen, provoked by the Pune decision, questioned him, Gambhir dismissed it with a laugh, saying that Dube was prepared to bowl his entire allotment of overs today. "He would have bowled four overs for sure today," said Gambhir while speaking to Star Sports.

Shivam Dube was good with the ball as he picked two first on the first ball in both of his overs. However, India wrapped England on 97 runs and won the T20I series by 4-1. In recent times, the Indian team faced criticism for using Harshit Rana as a concussion replacement for Shivadsim Dube, who was injured.
Everything in Indian cricket returns to normal - Gautam Gambhir
Gambhir stated that once results start going India's way, everything in Indian cricket returns to normal, however, he did not specifically disprove the rumors. Regarding the present lineup, which consists of just one specialist pacer, Gambhir stated that the goal is to use eight overs from Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi to stop the opposition's middle order.
"See, for me, having Bishnoi and Varun bowling in tandem was very important, especially in the middle phase. We want to go as hard as possible and sometimes that cushion of having that No. 8 would free up the top 7 more. The current team helps me play my fearless brand of cricket." Gambhir added.
After the T20I series is over, attention will shift to the ODIs. India and England will face off in three games which will start in Nagpur and end in Ahmadabad. Later both the teams will be travelling to Pakistan and UAE for the ICC Champions Trophy.
