Former Indian star Dinesh Karthik has posted a positive update ahead of the T20 World Cup final on Saturday. The 39-year-old took to X and posted a short video showing a clear day in Barbados.

Dinesh Karthik wrote, “It rained yesterday, as of now, the weather looks solid. Perfect weather for playing conditions”. In the video, it can be clearly seen that the skies were clear and there were no clouds.

There is a chance that there could be rain during the course of the day. Rains have played spoilsport in most of the games this tournament. Fans from both sides will hope to have an uninterrupted day of cricket as India and South Africa clash for the biggest prize in T20I Cricket.

Nasser Hussain praises Rohit Sharma ahead of the Final

Former England skipper Nasser Hussain has spoken glowingly about Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper has seen his team reach the finals without losing a game. It is also to be noted that South Africa too are yet to lose a game in this campaign.

While speaking to Star Sports, Nasser Hussain said “I have been a fan of Rohit for a very long time, as a batter, as a captain, and as a person. He seems to have a very calming influence. Whereas you had other captains, maybe like Virat, who wore their hearts on their sleeves, and they are incredibly passionate”

The former England skipper also said "Rohit is like that iron fist in a velvet glove. You do not mess around with Rohit, but he is also a big brother who will put his arm around you and look after you”

It was Rohit Sharma’s fifty that helped India beat England in the second semi-finals. South Africa on the other hand had outplayed Afghanistan in the first semi-finals and reached their first ever ICC final for nearly three decades.

South African skipper Aiden Markram while addressing the media had said “This team's been together for a long time now as a white ball group, both formats, and it's nice for us to get to a final. We feel and we believe that we can compete with the best in the world and we can win trophies. And it's nice for us to now have that opportunity and make it into a final”
