Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended their IPL 2025 league phase on a high note on Tuesday night. In their final league match of the season, RCB beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a high-scoring encounter. The match wasn’t without incidents as Digvesh Rathi pulled out the Mankad dismissal against Jitesh Sharma in the dying moments of the game.

Virat Kohli was in the dugout and wasn’t happy with what he was seeing and showed his displeasure. Earlier in the game, Digvesh had his moment with Kohli where the youngster tried to play mind games with the former RCB skipper. LSG spinner has been one of the best finds of the season and this was the first time he was taking on Kohli.

The incident in question happened on the fifth ball of the 11th over as RCB needed 108 off 56 balls. Rathi came in to bowl but stopped just as Kohli was getting ready to face the ball. Kohli, though, had a smile on his face at the tactics from the bowler to throw his concentration off the rails.

Former India batter Aakash Chopra reacted to this by saying, “This kid has swag; you've got to admit. The entire season, he has looked directly into the eyes of his target while bowling. His celebration is unique too, but I guess he won't do it now,".

’20 overs wont save you’ – Rishabh Pant gives brutal verdict after loss to RCB

LSG skipper Rishabh Pant wasn’t happy with the bowling efforts of his side in the six-wicket loss to RCB on Tuesday night. Speaking at the end of the game, Pant said, “Eventually you have to play 40 overs of good cricket. 20 overs will definitely not save you in a T20 game and that's been our story.”

The 27-year-old scored his second IPL tonne and marked it with a front flip celebration to finally end his bad run of form. Speaking about his tone, Pant said, “I was feeling well with each and every match but sometimes it just doesn't come off. Today I made sure that if I am starting well, I should make a big one. Like all the experienced players do, learning from the best always. Whenever you get a start, try to make it big as possible.”
