Pant’s century propels LSG to a massive total

Speaking of the action of the first innings in the game between LSG and RCB, the hosts posted a massive total of 227 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper Rishabh Pant played a blistering and unbeaten knock of 118 runs off just 61 balls, with 11 fours and eight sixes. He also stitched an outstanding 152-run partnership with opener Mitchell Marsh, who also smashed 67 runs off just 37 balls, with four fours and five sixes.

Nuwan Thushara, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Romario Shepherd scalped a wicket each for RCB in the first innings amidst a poor day for their bowling attack.

Returning to Rishabh Pant, it is his first century in the ongoing IPL 2025 after a whole season ‘poor run of form.’ Apart from that, it’s his second century in his IPL career after a long wait of 7 years since he made his maiden ton in IPL 2017.
