KL Rahul: Enjoying new lease of life with Delhi Capitals
After his exit from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), veteran India batter KL Rahul found a new home in Delhi. This has been a welcome change for Rahul, who has seemingly been enjoying a second coming of sorts in the IPL with the bat in hand. So far, the 33-year-old has played five games for DC and scored 238 runs with an average of 59 and a strike rate of 154 with two fifties.
Rahul also welcomed his first child with wife Athiya Shetty at the start of the IPL 2025 season. In the first game of the season, Rahul scored 15 runs off just five balls in the game against Hyderabad. After this knock, the veteran batter scored 77 vs Chennai and an unbeaten 93 versus Bengaluru.
Rahul who is the leading run-getter in IPL history vs Mumbai Indians, was out for 15 in what was a rare failure. In the last game versus the Rajasthan Royals, the right-handed batter scored 38 with the bat and also hit seven runs in the super over. In the last few games, Rahul has rediscovered his love for the white-ball format. The 33-year-old who last played a T20I game in 2022 is slowly finding his groove against with Delhi Capitals.
