Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk celebrated his 23rd birthday on Friday, April 11. Delhi Capitals (DC) players, led by skipper Axar Patel with the likes of Mohit Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, and others, were seen wishing the youngster on his special day. The young batter was then seen cutting the cake along with his teammates.

Just as the cake cutting was over, Mukesh Kumar could be seen holding the young batter from behind. Few of the DC players then applied the ‘cake’ onto McGurk’s face. Mohit Sharma and Mukesh Kumar were seen clicking selfies with the player. Delhi Capitals’ players were seen in a joyful mood, having beaten Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by six wickets.
The win over RCB was the fourth straight win for Delhi to move eight points and go joint top with Punjab Kings. The next match for the Capitals will be their first encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday when they host Mumbai Indians. 32-year-old KL Rahul scored 93 not out and helped DC chase down the 164-run target with 13 balls to spare.
Tristan Stubbs praises KL Rahul for his match-winning knock
South African batter Tristan Stubbs played a key role in DC’s win as he added 111 runs for the fifth wicket with KL Rahul. At one stage, Delhi were struggling at 58 for four before the Stubbs and Rahul stand took the game away from RCB. Speaking at the end of the game, Stubbs heaped lavish praise on Rahul’s batting.
Tristan Stubbs said, "I had the best seat. He said it afterwards; this is his ground. He has grown up here, so he knows how to play and stayed positive throughout the innings. He kept enforcing and reminding me to look straight, and that gave me confidence. He can do anything. He is a seriously good player and he is in really good form. So, if he can get on a really good wicket, we will be able to see his full potential,"
When asked about the performance of spin twins Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav, the South African said, “It has been so good to watch them perform well for the team. Kuldeep actually asked to bowl to me in the nets because the last time he bowled to me was in the World Cup final. Honestly, if you can get through that net session, you're in a really good position. You feel really confident because they are bowling really well, and then if you walk out of that session feeling good, you are in a good space."
