Maharashtra took on Punjab in the third quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament. Players with international experience and IPL fame were part of the game in a bid to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. One player in particular who is being looked at closely is Chennai Super Kings seamer Mukesh Choudhary.
The left-arm pacer came up with an amazing ball to dismiss Punjab Kings star player Prabhsimran Singh. The incident happened in the fourth ball of the 4th over with Punjab placed at 25 in reply of 276 runs to win. Bowling from over the wicket, Mukesh Choudhary had Singh playing down the wrong line to knock his off-stump out of the park.

Prabhsimran Singh was out for 14 after having faced 17 balls to deal Punjab with a huge blow. The 24-year-old had been in good form and had the ability to take the attack to the opposition. The CSK pacer then got the huge wicket of Abhishek Sharma for 19 to leave Punjab in trouble at 42/2 in the eighth over. The pacer added a third wicket when he dismissed Nehal Wadhera to leave the chasing side at 50/3 in the 10th over.
Arshin Kulkarni ton propels Maharashtra to 275 on the board
Abhishek Sharma won the toss and put Maharashtra to bat as Arshdeep Singh struck two huge blows. The left-arm seamer castled Maharashtra skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for 5 and then dismissed young Siddesh Veer for a duck. At that stage, Maharashtra were placed at 8/2 in the third over of the innings.
Young Arshin Kulkarni was joined by Ankit Bawne and the pair steadied the ship with a stand of 145 in 194 balls. Ankit Bawne scored 60 off 85 balls before being bowled by Mumbai Indians star Naman Dhir. Skipper Abhishek Sharma then struck to dismiss his former SRH teammate Rahul Tripathi for 15 while Azim Kazi was out for 2 to Naman Dhir.
Arshdeep Singh got his third wicket in Arshin Kulkarni who was out for 107 after facing 137 balls with 14 hits to the fence. Nikhil Naik swung his bat to stay not out on 52 off 29 balls with three fours and three sixes as Maharashtra reached 275 from their 50 overs.
