Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) beat Gujarat Titans by six wickets in the IPL 2025 game on Saturday. Nicholas Pooran led the carnage with the bat as he scored 61 runs from just 34 balls with one boundary and seven huge sixes. That knock took Pooran to the top of the leading run-scorer charts with 349 runs for the season. Meanwhile, one cricket fan was unfortunately injured when one of Pooran’s huge sixes hit him in the head.
In one of the videos doing the rounds on social media, a fan could be seen taken to hospital in an ambulance. According to various sources, the fan in question later returned to the ground and saw Lucknow win the game. In the short video that was put up on social media, the injured fan could be seen with a plaster on his forehead and being asked to lie down.

Nicholas Pooran continues brutal form with the bat
West Indian star Nicholas Pooran came into the game having scored 288 runs so far this campaign. The left-handed batter had pulverised Kolkata Knight Riders with his 87 not out in the previous game. Pooran took special liking to R. Sai Kishore, who was smashed for huge sixes in the tenth over of LSG’s innings.
The 29-year-old spoke to the broadcasters at the end of the game and said, “It is not so much about the hat but winning the game. The wicket today was absolutely beautiful to bat on. There was not much talk. As a group we knew we had depth, we are batting well, tried to continue as much as possible. What was good was the partnership, Aiden continuing on.”
South African batter Aiden Markram scored his second successive fifty of the tournament. Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper was out after scoring 59 off 31 balls as he was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna. Markram was named man of the match, where he said, “Slight change of role, getting used to opening. Schedule is packed so you are playing lots of cricket. But you need to keep sticking to your plan.”
