Rohit Sharma has been moving the hearts of every Indian fan for the last week. The Indian skipper has a massive fan base across the nation but the Mumbai fans took it a notch higher on Thursday. As the entire nation was gearing up for the Victory Parade in Mumbai, a few fans couldn’t control their excitement.

A few young commuters broke into a spontaneous Rohit Sharma chant. This was followed by ‘Mumbai cha Raja Rohit Sharma’ (Rohit Sharma is Mumbai’s king). The entire train could be heard cheering as it pulled into the next station.

The 37-year-old has already called time on his T20I Career after the T20 World Cup win. After his captaincy was taken away last year by Mumbai Indians team management, many fans showed their disgust with the team. Rohit Sharma though didn’t let the team down as he led them to their first ICC title win in 11 years.

Mumbai might be witnessing irregular rainfall but nothing was irregular about the fan turnout in South Mumbai. It was packed to the brim as fans stood on each side of the road to have a view of the Indian team making it to the Wankhede Stadium in an open bus.

The victory parade which began in the heart of South Mumbai, will end in Wankhede Stadium with various programs being planned.  Rohit Sharma and his side had landed in India earlier on Thursday met the Indian PM and posed with the trophy.

Their next stop was Mumbai as they had to share their huge win with the crazy fans. Once the team came out of the airport, Rohit Sharma handed the trophy to Hardik Pandya.

The 30-year-old was seen celebrating wildly as soon as he came out of the terminal. The team soon moved to South Mumbai as they had their open bus Victory Parade waiting following their appearance in front of a packed crowd at Wankhede Stadium.
