Controversy erupted in the Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad game in the 31st game of the ongoing IPL 2025 when umpires declared MI batter Ryan Rickleton not out. It all happened on the fifth ball of the sixth over when Zeeshan Ansari was bowling to Riyan Rickleton and the latter played towards the hands of SRH skipper Pat Cummins.

Cummins took a successful catch, but in an unexpected turnaround of events umpires declared it a no-ball, followed by declaring Rickelton not-out. Everyone in the SRH camp was left stunned by the umpire’s decision. Later, it was clear that the SRH wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen’s gloves were in front of the stumps when Rickleton played the shot.

Speaking of the current action of the game between MI and SRH, the hosts have scored 139 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 15.3 overs while chasing the target of 163 runs. Tilak Varma and skipper Hardik Pandya are there in the middle with individual scores of 7 and 9 runs, respectively.

Star pacer and SRH skipper Pat Cummins has scalped 3 wickets at just 26 runs in his four overs in the second innings so far. Besides him, pacer Harshal Patel has also scalped 1 wicket at 16 runs in his two overs so far.

Earlier in the first innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma scored 40 runs off 28 balls, with seven fours, followed by Heinrich Klaasen’s 37 runs off 28 balls, with three fours and two sixes. Besides these two, opener Travis Head also scored 28 runs off 29 balls, with three fours.
