In what seems to be a fearful development, speculations about the reason behind the PBKS vs. DC match being called off midway have been revealed. Earlier, it was speculated that the match was called off due to a floodlight malfunction. The players were called off the stadium, and the spectators were asked to leave the ground.

Meanwhile, a cheerleader created a video revealing the real reason the game was called off. She explained what happened at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala and described the panic amongst the spectators when the game was called off.

“So basically, the whole stadium in the middle of the match was evacuated, and it was very scary. Everyone was just screaming, and it was very scary; it's still very, very scary. We want to go out of Dharamsala, and I hope the IPL people will look after us. So yeah, this is very, very scary. I don't know why I'm not crying. I think I'm still in shock,” said the cheerleader in the viral video.

BCCI arranges a special train to evacuate players from Dharamsala

In the same line of events, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to arrange a special train to evacuate the PBKS and DC players, alongside officials and the broadcast crew from Dharamsala. BCCI’s plan of action was conveyed to the media by the BCCI vice-president, Rajeev Shukla, after the PBKS vs DC game was called off. 

“So basically, the whole stadium in the middle of the match was evacuated, and it was very scary. Everyone was just screaming, and it was very scary; it's still very, very scary. We want to go out of Dharamsala, and I hope the IPL people will look after us. So yeah, this is very, very scary. I don't know why I'm not crying. I think I'm still in shock,” Rajeev Shukla was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
