Despite not winning an IPL (Indian Premier League) trophy, the support and love that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise receives is immense. The primary reason for their massive fanbase can attributed to the presence of superstar players they have had over the years.
In the early seasons, they had the services of top-class players like Rahul Dravid, Ross Taylor, Daniel Vettori and Anil Kumble. Later the baton was handed over to the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. While Kohli still remains their poster boy, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell have filled the void of two other players.

With the groundwork for IPL 2025 underway, several reports are doing the rounds online suggesting that star batter KL Rahul is likely to return to RCB next season. The Karnataka-born cricketer had a forgettable outing with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in terms of captaincy and as a player in the last edition.
Bengaluru fans want Rahul back in RCB ahead of IPL 2025
Ahead of the 18th edition of IPL, a mega auction will be held and Bengaluru fans are demanding the RCB management to acquire local boy Rahul's services if LSG releases him. Although the keeper-batter hasn't had the best of times in recent periods, he is one of the big names in Indian cricket and his addition will further add to the 'Bold Army' fan base.

A video has gone viral on social media where RCB fans are demanding Rahul's return to the franchise. Some of them also believe that if the right-hander combines with Kohli, RCB will be able to live up to their slogan “Ee Sala Cup Namde”.

The video was taken inside the premises of RCB’s home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Notably, the fans came to the stadium to watch Rahul’s India A team play against India B in the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament. The 32-year-old was dismissed for 37 runs in the first innings of the tournament opener.
