It was a day to forget for Bangladesh as they saw India coast past 250 runs on a run-filled day in Hyderabad. Sanju Samson scored his maiden T20I century off just 40 balls before falling for 111 runs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 75 off 35 balls as the duo added 173 runs for the 2nd wicket.

To add to Bangladesh's misery, Riyan Parag and Hardik Pandya decided to punish the visitors even more. There was a chance for Bangladesh to break the stand in the 18th over. Mustafizur Rahman was bowling the 3rd ball of the over as Pandya was on strike. The 31-year-old got a thick inside edge as the ball went towards Litton Das.

Riyan Parag went to the batter's end looking for a quick single but Hardik Pandya didn’t move at all. Litton Das used the underarm technique to throw the ball towards the bowler's end but the throw was very powerful.

Skipper Najmul Shanto couldn’t get to the bat as Hardik Pandya completed the single with ease. The very next ball Riyan Parag was put down as the visitors saw salt added to the wounds. Parag also got a life when he hit a huge ball only for the Bangladeshi fielder to touch the rope as six runs were awarded.

India posts highest T20I score by Test-playing nation

The decision to bat first paid rich dividends for Suryakumar Yadav as India posted their highest-ever T20I total. India lost opener Abhishek Sharma out early for just four. Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav though kept the scoreboard moving.

It was a special day for Samson as he smashed his maiden century in the T20I format. The knock was much needed for Samson after he failed in the first two games. With a four down the ground, the Indian star reached his ton and was given huge applause by his teammates and fans alike.

Suryakumar Yadav helped himself to 75 runs before he was dismissed by Mahmudullah. Riyan Parag and Pandya then added 70 runs for the 4th wicket in just 25 balls before Parag was out for 34 off 13 balls. His knock contained just one four and 4 sixes. Hardik Pandya scored 47 off 18 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. India finished on 297/6 as Rinku Singh hit the last ball for a six to end the innings.
