Indian cricket fans were left jumping in the aisle as Sanju Samson unleashed carnage on Saturday in Hyderabad. The 29-year-old hit five successive sixes in the 10th over off Rishad Hossain as he went closer to his maiden T20I century. The hundred came off 40 balls with a four off Mahedi Hasan in the 1st ball of the 13th over. 

After the first ball which was a dot, Bangladeshi bowler Rishad Hossain saw carnage being unleashed. The second ball of the over was smashed for a six straight down the ground. The third ball of the over saw the ball travel over the long off fence for another six. On the 4th ball of the over Samson hit the 3rd six off the over straight over Hossain’s head. 

The fourth six of the over travelled over the long-on fence. The crowd could be heard going crazy as Hossain came to bowl the final ball of the over. The Bangladeshi bowler dropped it short as Samson pulled the ball over the midwicket region to take 30 runs from the over. 

India is on course for a mammoth total on the board in Hyderabad 

It has been a batting exhibition from India as they were placed at 190/1 from 13 overs. Suryakumar Yadav reached his fifty off 23 just balls as he took 2 runs from Mahmudullah in the 11th over. Once Samson reached his maiden ton, Yadav ran up to his younger partner and gave him a bear hug. 

Mustafizur Rahman finally ended the 173-run stand when he had the key wicket of Samson for 111. His knock came off 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes as Mahedi Hasan in the 14th over. The second wicket stood in just 69 balls as the visitors were taken to the cleaners. 

At the time of writing India had reached 201 runs for the loss of two wickets after 14 overs. Riyan Parag had come out to bat number four and was batting on 1. Suryakumar Yadav hit a four off Rahman straight down the ground to reach 71 runs and was well set for another T20I ton.
