India are on the verge of yet another series win as they showed their might during the 2nd T20I against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya left the visiting side speechless as he took a tumbling catch to get rid of Rishad Hossain.

The incident happened in the 3rd ball of the 14th over of the Bangladeshi innings. Rishad Hossain went for a huge swipe across the line against Varun Chakravarthy. Pandya came running across the midwicket region and took the catch. Indian all-rounder tumbled across the ground to complete the catch.

What made it even more special was the fact that the catch was taken in front of Indian fielding coach T. Dilip. This catch also meant that the 30-year-old was the favourite to win the best fielder of the day. Indian cricket team has started a trend of giving medals to the best fielding efforts of the day.

Indian bowlers run riot against Bangladesh in New Delhi

Needing 222 to win, Bangladesh lost Parvez Emon for 16 runs when he was bowled by Arshdeep Singh. Washington Sundar then struck next as he dismissed Najmul Shanto caught by Hardik Pandya for 11 runs. Litton Das struck a huge six but was out when he lost his leg stump bowled by Varun Chakravarthy for 14 runs.

Abhishek Sharma then got into action as he dismissed Towhid Hridoy for 2. The left-arm spinner bowled an arm ball to uproot the Bangladeshi batter's leg stump. Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz then added 34 runs for the 5th wicket in 25 balls. That stand was broken when Riyan Parag had Miraz caught by substitute fielder Ravi Bishnoi for 16 runs.

Mayank Yadav got his 1st wicket of the game when he had the wicket of Jaker Ali for 1. Tanzim Hasan Sakib became the 8th wicket to fall to give Nitish Reddy his maiden wicket of the day caught by Hardik Pandya. This was the 3rd catch of the day for India’s star all-rounder. With this win, India has now wrapped up the series with the final game to be played on Saturday in Hyderabad.
