Former Pakistan skipper and star batter Babar Azam is currently in action as captain for Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025). Before that, he was a part of the national side of Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, played in Pakistan and Dubai.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam attracted the eyeballs for his recent interaction with a young fan. It all happened when a young fan turned emotional after meeting Babar. Pakistan’s cricketing superstar didn’t delay in showering his love and blessings on the young fan by signing an autograph on his cap and patting him with a caring gesture.

Babar Azam struggles with poor form in PSL 2025 

Speaking of cricket, the Peshawar Zalmi skipper, Babar Azam, is going through a dismal run of form in the ongoing PSL 2025 as he has scored 49 runs in the four innings he has played in the tournament so far. He has scored these runs with a poor batting average of 12.25 and a below-par batting strike rate of 96.07.

Before his recent 46-run knock against Karachi Kings in the ongoing 11th game of the tournament, Babar had scored only 3 runs in the three innings.

In the ongoing Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi clash at the National Stadium in Karachi, Babar Azam-led Zalmi have been restricted to a total of just 147 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Skipper himself played a knock of 46 runs off 41 balls, with seven fours followed by 28 and 24 runs, scored by Mohammad Harris and Alzarri Joseph.

Karachi Kings’ pacer Abbas Afridi and spin-allrounder Khushdil Shah scalped 3 wickets each at 30 and 20 runs in their 4 and 3 over stints, respectively. Besides these two, Mir Hamza and Aamer Jamal also claimed a wicket each for their side in the first innings.
