Tim David got a low full toss that he tried to play but got a leading edge. Nortje stuck out his hand and took an amazing catch. The Australian scored 9 off 13 balls to continue his inconsistent form with the bat.

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots batted first and scored 193/4 from their 20 overs. Andre Fletcher was the top scorer with 93 off 60 balls. Kyle Mayers cored 60 off 30 balls as he ably supported Fletcher. Chris Jordan was the best bowler for TKR with 2/29 from 4 overs. Akeal Hossein and Jayden Seales picked one wicket each.

Nicholas Pooran leads TKR to easy win

The Knight Riders began well in their chase of 194 with Jason Roy and Keacy Carty opening the batting. Mayers gave Patriots the opening wicket when he dismissed Carty for 13 runs.

Jason Roy and Nicholas Pooran then added 73 runs for the second wicket in just 37 balls. Tabraiz Shamsi removed the dangerous Jason Roy for 64 off 34 balls. The best batter for the TKR team was Nicholas Pooran who scored 93 not out. His knock came off 43 balls with 6 fours and 7 sixes.

Kieron Pollard praised his team after bouncing back from a loss in the last game. The TKR skipper said, “The guys really came out trumps. We practised here last night and the ball was coming onto the bat. When you give the batters, batting-friendly wickets, they tend to express themselves a bit more. When the wicket is challenging, that's where your skill sets need to come out.”

Meanwhile, Patriots skipper Andre Fletcher said, “Dropping 5 catches in a crucial game, especially a world-class player as Pooran. We also dropped 28 catches in the tournament. For the fielding team, it's poor, it's way below-par and it actually cost us a lot of games that we lost.”
