England star batter Alex Hales smashed a stunning six against the Dubai Capitals in the 13th match of the ongoing International League T20 2025. In the second ball of the fourth over of the first innings, Obed McCoy bowled a length ball at the stumps. Playing for the Desert Vipers, Hales made room for himself and hit the ball into the stands. It was an impressive shot by the right-handed batter who was waiting for such a delivery.
Dan Lawrence, who was at the non-striker's end, thoroughly enjoyed the shot as the six travelled an impressive distance of 109 meters. The Vipers were forced to bat first after losing the toss to the Capitals. Their batting performance was underwhelming, managing to score just 139 runs in the first innings. The highest individual score was 34 runs, made by Hales, who hit two boundaries and two sixes during his innings.

Zahir Khan and Dushmantha Chameera claimed three wickets each in the first innings. The Capitals chased down the 140 runs quite easily in just 18 overs. Gulbadin Naib scored 78 runs in 41 balls, including three boundaries and five sixes.

We are just looking for momentum: Gulbadin Naib
Dubai Capitals' star batter Gulbadin Naib scored a brilliant half-century, which helped the team win the game. For his outstanding performance, he was given the Player of the Match award. At the presentation, Naib spoke about how they wanted to gain momentum in the tournament and praised the teammates for their contribution.
"We are at the bottom, we are just looking for momentum after three losses. Luckily today we won. Still, a long way to go. It's not easy facing this kind of quality bowling, luckily I gave time to myself, during the break coaching staff came and said you're looking good so I took on the bowling after that. Just wanted to go after the loose balls and back my strengths," said Naib at the presentation.
