Former Indian pacer Vivek Razdan is known for his enterprising commentary. The veteran voice of cricket is one of the names who are doing commentary duties in the ILT20. Razdan was on air with Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis during the MI Emirates vs Desert Vipers clash when he decided to unleash some poetic lines.
Vivek Razdan said, “Apna Zamana khud banate hai ae dil, hum woh nahi jisko zamana bana gaya." To which Wasim Akram said, “Zabardast Vivek, aapki shayari ka maza aa gaya." Waqar Younis though came up with a hilarious comment and said, “Ab bass karde Vivek, rulaega kya.”

Sri Lankan batter Kusal Perera and UAE opener Muhammad Waseem began well, adding 48 for the first wicket in 6 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga got the opening wicket when he dismissed Waseem for 18. Kusal Perera was out next for 33 off 29 balls, falling to England star Dan Lawrence.

Speaking at the toss, Nicholas Pooran said, “We are going to have a bat first. It looks like a good wicket; hopefully we can put something on the board to defend. It's a new surface; I'm not sure what's the best decision. Runs on the board is always pressure.”
Lockie Ferguson said, “We would have had a bowl. Nice to get underway. Games come thick and fast; nice to get a couple of wins, a tough one today against MI. It's a great group; the support staff has been fantastic. Looking forward to this match. This pitch looks different; it's about adjusting.”
