The veteran LSG opener Aiden Markram played a brilliant knock of 52 runs against DC in the 40th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). He smashed two fours and three sixes in this game at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. He also stitched a brilliant 87-run opening partnership with Mitchell Marsh in 10 overs.
Meanwhile, what attracted the eyeballs was Aiden Markram’s huge six off Mitchell Marsh that almost happened to hit the cheerleaders in the stands. The moment came on the fourth ball of the second over, and Markram took his front foot to work and smashed a high and long six over the square leg region.

LSG crumbled after a brilliant opening start against DC
Speaking of the current action of the game, the DC have started their run chase of 160 runs and have scored 36 runs for no loss in 3.3 overs, with openers Abishek Porel and Karun Nair there in the middle at the individual scores of 18 and 15 runs, respectively.
Earlier in the first innings, LSG posted 159 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Apart from Markram’s 52-run half-century, his opening mate Mitchell Marsh also played a crucial knock of 45 runs off 36 balls, with three fours and a six. Later in the innings, Ayush Badoni also smashed 36 runs off just 21 balls, with six fours.
Star DC pacer Mukesh Kumar bowled a sensational spell, scalping 4 wickets at 33 runs in his four-over spell in the first innings. Besides him, Mitchell Starc and Dushmantha Chameera also picked up a wicket each for their side.
