Northern Super Chargers won the Hundred game versus London Spirit on Tuesday. Adil Rashid was the best bowler for the Superchargers with 3 wickets as he had the London Spirit batters in huge trouble. The biggest moment of the day came when Adil Rashid bowled two googlies to leave Matt Critchley and Andre Russell stunned.

Matt Critchley was batting on 3 when Adil Rashid ran in and bowled a perfect googly. The ball pitched way outside off stump before turning back in sharply to disturb the furniture.

Andre Russell was the third wicket of the day for Adil Rashid to complete a perfect day. The West Indian batter went for a huge hit and saw the ball turn a long way into him as he missed the line. The ball hit the off-stump as the Northern Superchargers slumped to 62/6 at the stage.

Ben Stokes ruled out of Sri Lanka Test series due to injury

Meanwhile, there is bad news for England cricket fans as Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the three-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Ben Stokes, the Test skipper for England, had injured his hamstring while playing the Hundred game against Manchester Originals.

Ben Stokes had to be carried off the field and the worst fears came through as the bad news was confirmed on Tuesday. Ollie Pope is likely to lead the England side for the three-match Test series against Sri Lanka set to start on the 21st of August in Manchester.

It is expected that Ben Stokes will be fit in time to tour Pakistan where England are expected to play three Tests. England Cricket Board put out a statement late on Tuesday night which read, “As a result of the scans conducted in Leeds on Tuesday, Stokes will miss England's three-match Test series against Sri Lanka.”

The win for Northern Superchargers on Tuesday lifted them to second in the table. The Superchargers have so far won five matches out of 8 having lost two and one game not yielding any result. London Spirit are bottom of the table having just won one game from the 8 matches they played so far.
