Former legendary South Africa batter AB de Villiers went to watch the 12th game of the ongoing SA20 2025 between Pretoria Capitals and Paarl Royals. He happened to turn up at Centurion in disguise. Later, he watched the game being among the fans at the stadium’s grass banks. However, everyone was unaware of the fact that ABD went to watch the game between the Capitals and the Royals.

It all got revealed on Thursday when the former cricketing legend himself shared a video on his official X handle (Formerly Twitter).

“I shared my experience of going to the SA20 League in disguise, as a fan, in this week’s 360Show,” wrote AB de Villiers in his X post.

“I also stepped back into the nets for a bit of cricket coaching session. Watch all that in this week’s episode,” he added later.

The video shared by ABD also went viral on social media as soon as he shared it on X.

Speaking of action of the tournament’s 12th game between the Pretoria Capitals and Paarl Royals. The Capitals won the toss and batted first, scoring 212 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs courtesy of Will Smeed’s 54 runs, alongside 42 and 45 runs scored by Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Kyle Verreynne.

Later, the game was graced by the modern-day batting great, Joe Root’s unbeaten 92 runs off just 60 balls, with 11 fours and two sixes. His knock followed by Rubin Hermann’s 56 runs and skipper David Miller’s unbeaten 48 runs off just 24 balls helped Paarl Royals chase down the target in 19.4 overs, scoring 213 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Eventually, the Royals won the game by 8 wickets, with Joe Root getting the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his match-winning knock.
