LSG and RCB are taking on each other in the final league match of the ongoing IPL 2025; the game is being played at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Notably, RCB have already qualified for the tournament’s playoff stage, they will be eyeing finishing in the ‘top two’ to get two chances of qualification for the tournament’s summit clash.

Meanwhile, what caught the attention before the start of the game was a huge roar from the crowd at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. It happened at the time of the toss when RCB’s stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first.

LSG off to a quick start against RCB

Speaking of the current action of the game between LSG and RCB, the hosts have scored 69 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in 7.1 overs. Skipper Rishabh Pant and opener Mitchell Marsh are there in the middle for their side. Pant has scored 31 runs off just 18 balls, with three fours and two sixes, alongside Marsh’s 18 runs off 14 balls, with two fours.

Star pacer Nuwan Thushara has bowled the most economical spell so far for RCB in the first innings. He has scalped a wicket at just 18 runs in his 3 overs.

Speaking of RCB, they are currently placed in the third spot on the tournament standings, with eight wins and four defeats in their 13 games so far. They are coming off a defeat and an ‘abandoned’ game, alongside three wins in their recent five games in the tournament. A win in this game will help them move to the second spot and finish the league stage in ‘top two spots.

On the other hand, LSG will also look ahead to winning this game and finishing their campaign winning note, getting moved to the sixth spot in the points tally.
