Virat Kohli ready to lead RCB in 2025: Reports

According to several sources, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will drastically alter their team's lineup on IPL 2025 Retention Day. According to strong rumours, Virat Kohli would rejoin the team as captain and Faf du Plessis would be left out by RCB. It is clear that Faf is not getting any younger, and this is one of the main reasons he was released. Although Du Plessis has been a reliable captain, RCB's continuous pursuit of a captain will lead the team to the IPL title. UnderFaf du Plessis RCB made it into playoffs twice. 

While RCB management may call for a different style or strategy. Arguably the greatest cricket player of our time, Virat Kohli was selected as the full-time captain of the RCB in 2013 but resigned from the position before the 2022 IPL to manage his workload. There will be a lot of captaincy contenders available, therefore the upcoming IPL super auction will be an exciting event.

According to reports, celebrities like Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant will enter the auction pool. Mohammed Siraj is expected to be one of the team's top retain

He is currently the tournament's top run scorer and has participated in every season thus far. In addition to leading RCB to the 2016 finals, where they were heartbrokenly defeated by SRH, he was captain from 2013 to 2021. In his 143 IPL games as captain of RCB, Kohli has guided the squad. On 66 occasions, he has guided the team to victory; on 70 occasions, he has led the team to defeat.

Mohammed Siraj is expected to be one of the team's top retainers, along with Kohli. Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal is probably going to be kept in the uncapped division. Through the Right to Match (RTM) card in the super auction, they might try to keep players like Will Jacks, Rajat Patidar, Akash Deep, and others.
