Team India have suffered a huge setback ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, starting on September 30, 2025. Wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

The BCCI confirmed that Yastika injured her left knee during India’s preparatory camp in Vizag. The BCCI medical team will closely monitor her recovery and progress toward full fitness.
As a replacement, Uma Chetry has been added to the squad. She was earlier part of the reserves list. Now, she will also feature in the upcoming three-match ODI series in India, starting September 14. With this, she will nindiaot be part of the India A squad that is scheduled to play in the warm-up games.

Uma has represented India in seven T20Is but is yet to make her ODI debut.
