On September 30, the opening ceremony of the Women's World Cup 2025 will take place in Guwahati. ICC has announced the popular Indian singer, Shreya Ghoshal, as the key performer for the event. Ghoshal also performed during the inaugural ceremony of the IPL 2025 and recorded 'Bring it Home', the official theme song of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025.

In their press release, ICC confirmed that Ghoshal will deliver a live performance during the opening ceremony of the tournament in Guwahati. Along with that, thematic visuals and on-ground activations are planned for the opening ceremony, before the start of the match between India and Sri Lanka.

ICC has promised "a vibrant and culturally rich celebration of cricket, empowerment, and music" in the event. Their announcement comes days after the declaration of the biggest prize money for a Cricket tournament in the Women's World Cup 2025, encouraging Women Empowerment and the need to popularize the sport among the female audience.

When and where to buy tickets for the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025?

In the same step, ICC also released the ticket window for the fans. Google pay can be used by the fans to buy tickets from the like here. The first phase of the public sale will happen from 19:00 IST, September 4, to 19:59 IST, September 9. The initial price set for the tickets is INR 100.

The second phase of the public sale will happen from 20:00 IST, September 9. The lower pricing of the tickets in the first phase is to attract more fans to watch matches. It will be the first Women's Cricket World Cup in India in 12 years.
