Australian cricket star Sam Konstas is set to make his debut during the Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne. The young batter is set to play in place of Nathan McSweeney who made his debut in Perth but failed to perform with the bat. Konstas comes into the team on the back of some telling performances in domestic games.
Just before the start of the 4th Test, Sean Abbott addressed the media where he came up with a huge advice for the young batter. Abbott mentioned that Konstas needs to put pressure on India’s batters with his verbal ploys. The young New South Wales batter is known to get into the heads of the opposition with his little verbal’s.
All-rounder Sean Abbott also said, “I’ve really enjoyed my short dealings with him. my time with him in the Shield game here a couple of weeks ago. What I will say is if he gets the chance to play, turn the stump mics up when he’s in at short leg, because he’s got some good bants.”

During his chat with the media, Abbott said, “Just getting into blokes about being scared, as I would’ve been as well if Starcy (Mitchell Starc) was about to bowl short. doesn’t matter if it was Rohit Sharma or me batting there, he would be exactly the same.”
Meanwhile, Konstas who is set to open the batting told the media that he has some plans ready for Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. It is to be noted that Bumrah dismissed McSweeney four times out in the first three games of the series so far.
Sam Konstas said, “I do have a plan for Jasprit Bumrah. I’m not going to say what it is, but just trying to put pressure back on the bowlers. I think it’s just another day for me, obviously it’s a bit more special, I’ve got my parents coming. Pretty simple, just back myself and see ball, hit ball really.”
