Jasprit Bumrah has been in the news for his amazing bowling performances during the ongoing Australian tour. Recently, the 31-year-old stole the headlines for his hilarious back and forth with a journalist on Monday. The journalist said to Bumrah “Hi Jasprit, what is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question; but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?”
To which the Indian bowler replied “It’s an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That’s another story.” The 31-year-old referred to the 35-run over against Stuart Broad during the 2022 Test match.

The 31-year-old Indian pacer has been the best player so far with 18 wickets so far. In the first innings of the 3rd Test match, the pacer took 6/72 to go along with the fifer in Perth. The last wicket stand between Bumrah and Akash Deep was worth 44 runs and it helped India avoid a follow-on. Jasprit Bumrah also hit Pat Cummins for a huge six that left the Australian skipper in shock.
With the Test match set to end in a draw, team India head to the Boxing Day game with full confidence. The hosts on the other hand will know that they have missed out on a huge opportunity to take 2-1 lead in the series and firm up their spot in the WTC table. Fourth Test match of the series starts on 26th December before the final game in Sydney to be played at the beginning of the new year in January.
