Virat Kohli wrote an emotional message on Instagram following Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) thrilling victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL).  At Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs on Tuesday, June 3, to secure the IPL 2025 trophy.  As the first batter to reach 9000 T20 runs for a single squad, Kohli recently thanked the supporters for sticking by the team through all of its highs and lows.

He is still the only player in IPL history to have played for just one team from the league's founding in 2008.  After leading India to victory in the U19 World Cup in Malaysia, Kohli joined RCB. Following his first IPL trophy after an 18-year wait, Virat Kohli penned down his thoughts on winning the IPL trophy. "This team made the dream possible, a season I'll never ever forget. We've thoroughly enjoyed the ride over the last 2.5 months. This one is for the fans of RCB who never ever left our side in the worst of times. This one is for all the years of heartbreaks and disappointment," Kohli wrote on Instagram.

"This is for every inch of effort left on the field playing for this team. As far as the IPL trophy is concerned, you've made me wait 18 years to be able to lift you and celebrate my friend, but it's been absolutely worth the wait," Kohli added.
