The star England pacer Chris Jordan achieved a historic landmark in his career as he became the first-ever England bowler to claim a hat-trick in the T20 internationals. Jordan achieved this amazing feat against the United States of America in the ongoing 49th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

Jordan ended up scalping 4 wickets in the ‘historic’ 20th and last over he bowled in the 20th over of the match against the USA. He claimed these 4 wickets in just 5 deliveries of the last over. Interestingly, England pacer Jordan made this history in his birth country Barbados.

‘Jordan’ special helps England to tackle down USA

The 35-year-old scalped 4 wickets just at the cost of 10 runs in the 2.5 overs he bowled against USA. Besides him, Sam Curran and Adil Rashid also picked 2 wickets each, alongside 1 wicket picked by Reece Topley and Liam Livingstone.  

On the back of these brilliant bowling performances, England bundled out the USA just at the score of 115 runs in 18.5 overs.

When filling this copy, England scored 24 runs without any loss in 2.5 overs, having Phil Salt and skipper Jos Buttler there in the middle.

Coming back to Chris Jordan, he has scalped 7 wickets so far with today’s 4-wicket haul, in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The current match against the USA is a must-win game for England to keep their hopes alive in the tournament. They have won and lost 1 match each in the two matches they have played. Besides the win against the USA, England will also require to West Indies to lose against South Africa in their last super-8 game in the tournament.
