After winning three consecutive essential games, the Indian team has finally qualified for the Super 8 in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The journey wasn't easy, considering the kind of pitches they played on. However, they held their nerves and performed throughout the matches. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh opened up about how happy he is about the team's performance and also talked about the left-right combination of the team.

"To make Rishabh Pant play at number 3 is a big positive. The left-right combination is formed when Rishabh Pant plays at number 3. There are a lot of positives. Of course, there are challenges and difficulties. But the challenges come in front of those who are brave. This team is a team of brave players. They fought well and played very well. Because of this, they topped the group," said Harbhajan Singh during the chat session with other commentators.

India will be playing against Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh in the upcoming days, and if they manage to win the matches, they will qualify for the semi-finals. It's a sigh of relief for India to have Australia in their group since they won't have to play against the mighty Aussies in the semi-finals.

'One or the other player raised his hand and...' - Former India spinner on Indian players' taking responsibility

Even though the Indian squad is filled with primarily inexperienced players, the way they have played in the last few matches is commendable. This is what Harbhajan Singh also said during the chat session with other commentators for Star Sports. All players, including Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant, have stepped up and played some excellent games of cricket, which helped them win the match against Pakistan, which India was losing in the first place.

"The biggest positive is that when you are in trouble, how do you get out of it?  One or the other player raised his hand and did his job that day. Jasprit Bumrah’s spell, Rizwan hit a bad shot and got out, after that the energy team showed up was commendable. All those who were asleep, they woke up and pulled the match from that situation while defending a small score. It was not a common thing to win the match against Pakistan from their claws," said Harbhajan Singh.
