T20 World Cup Super 8: India's Schedule, Match Timings, and Opponents

Team India is set to begin their T20 World Cup, Super-8 stage from Thursday. Rohit Sharma’s team were one of the earliest sides to make it to the next stage after their 7-wicket win over the United States of America. 

The men in blue will play their three matches in the second phase on June 20th, 22nd, and 24th. With 7 matches from four games, India have placed in Group 1 of the Super -8 stages along with Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. 

India started their T20 World Cup campaign with a win over Ireland by 8 wickets. It was a convincing performance as Rohit Sharma’s side dismissed the Irish team for 96 and chased down the target in 12.2 overs. In the next match, India defended 120 runs to beat Pakistan by 6 runs in a low-scoring encounter. 

The last match against Canada was abandoned denying India the much-needed match practice ahead of the Super-8 stages. Barbados will be the venue where India will begin their next phase of the T20 World Cup campaign before travelling to St. Vincent and St. Lucia. 

India’s Complete Super-8 Schedule 

Rohit Sharma-led Team India will begin their T20 World Cup Super-8 campaign with a game against Afghanistan. Rashid Khan and his side have played spectacular cricket to make it to this stage after they beat Uganda, New Zealand, and PNG. That match between India and Afghanistan will be played on 20th June in Barbados. 

In the next game, Team India will play Bangladesh on the 22nd of June. Bangladesh were the last team to book their spot in the Super-8 stages after their 21-run win over Nepal. Every India vs Bangladesh encounter produces some drama and this pulsating encounter will be held in St.Vincent on the 22nd of June. 

St. Lucia will be the venue as all eyes will be on the massive India vs Australia clash set to take place on the 24th of June. The last two times the two sides have met in an ICC tournament the Australians have beaten the Indian side to claim the titles.
