Team India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, is enjoying a good run of form with two consecutive wins in two matches they have played so far in the tournament. In their campaign opener, India defeated Ireland by a big margin of 8 wickets followed by a 6-run win against the arch-rivals, Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Team India recently visited the Consulate General of India in New York, USA. The president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah were also there with the Indian team during their visit to the Consulate General of India. Vice President of BCCI, Rajiv Shukla also made his appearance with the Indian contingent.
The entire Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, including the travelling reserves, was at the Consulate General of India. A group photograph of the Indian team also surfaced on social media as soon as it was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Now, the men in blue will take on the co-hosts USA on June 12, 2024, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. It will be a crucial match for both India and the USA to continue their winning run in the ongoing edition of the tournament.
Notably, both India and USA are coming off with two consecutive wins in their first two matches in the group stage of the tournament. The USA defeated Canada and Pakistan, respectively in their first two matches in Group A.
On the other hand, India outplayed Ireland and Pakistan, respectively in their first two group-stage matches in the ongoing 9th edition of the tournament.
Rohit Sharma’s India will be eyeing ending their trophy draught in the T20 World Cup since they won it first time under MS Dhoni in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
