It is a day of reckoning for India and Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup, Super-8 match in Antigua. The two sides are set to meet with varying aspirations in mind on Saturday. Team India needs to win the match to secure one foot into the semi-final stages, while Bangladesh have to win to keep their hopes alive.

As per the reports, it is going to be a clear day in Antigua as the two sides take the field. There will be a good amount of cloud cover with the sun making an appearance during the course of the game. There will be a good amount of breeze across the ground and this will make the players feel more comfortable.

India had begun their Super-8 campaign in Barbados with a win over Afghanistan. Suryakumar Yadav led the batting charge with a half-century while Jasprit Bumrah picked 3/7 from his four overs to do the damage with the ball.

Bangladesh on the other hand lost to Australia by 28 runs thanks to the rain stoppage as the Duckworth and Lewis method came into play. The Bangladeshi side could only score 140 with Najmul Shanto scoring 41 and Towhid Hridoy scoring 40.

All eyes are on the Indian opening duo

Once the two teams walk onto the field all the attention and focus will be on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The two stars haven’t been able to fire and they have failed to score runs in all the four games they have batted together.

Addressing this issue, Vikram Rathour said “It is good that when you are challenged at times and you know the guys who are not getting too much of batting in India sometimes, they are the ones who put up scores. Our middle order came into play. So it was good to see”

Speaking about the Bangladesh side, the Indian batting coach said “They're a good unit. They have a lot of guys who can [challenge us with] spin bowling and they are good in certain conditions. And these conditions do suit them a little as a team because the wickets seem to have a bit of help for the spinners and they do have spinners in their team. But again, in this format, I think every team is a tough team”
