India have started their T20 World Cup 2024 preparations with high spirits as they outmuscled the Bangladesh-only warm-up fixture in New York. Besides India’s 60-run win, what attracted the eyeballs of everyone was a fan who breached the security during the match to meet the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma.
The incident happened during the second innings when Rohit Sharma was fielding in the 30-yard-circle. All of a sudden, a fan showed up in the middle to meet Rohit Sharma after breaching the security protocols within the premises of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
The video of this unexpected moment also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the action of the warm-up game between India and Bangladesh, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked his batters to take charge first. Batting first, the men in blue posted a decent total of 182 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs courtesy of the fiery knocks from Rishabh Pant and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, alongside Suryakumar Yadav.
Pant scored a crucial half-century, hitting 53 runs off 32 balls, with 4 fours and 4 sixes followed by Suryakumar Yadav’s 31 runs off just 18 balls, with 4 fours. Later around the end of the innings, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya smashed 40 runs off just 23 with 2 fours and 4 sixes, including 3 consecutive sixes in an over.
While defending the target, the Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to the score of only 122 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the entire 20 overs. Shivam Dube and Arshdeep Singh scalped 2 wickets each, alongside 1 wicket each bagged by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel.
