T-series announces biopic on Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh via a special announcement on X as the former Indian star reacted to the news.

The former Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh’s career is set to be showcased as a biopic. T-series has announced that it is set to make a movie based on the life and achievements of Yuvraj Singh. The 42-year-old was one of the most flamboyant players of his era and helped India win two World Cups. 

Taking to X, T-series wrote, “Relive the legend's journey from the pitch to the heart of millions—Yuvraj Singh's story of grit and glory is coming soon on the big screen”. The hashtag was #sixsixes which gives a fair idea about the movie. 

Bhushan Kumar who heads T-Series while speaking to the media said, “Yuvraj Singh’s life is a compelling narrative of resilience, triumph, and passion. His journey from a promising cricketer to a cricketing hero, and then to a hero in real life, is truly inspiring. I am thrilled to bring a story that needs to be told and heard through the big screen and to celebrate his extraordinary achievements.”

Yuvraj Singh reacts to the huge news 

Former Indian cricket star Yuvraj Singh while speaking to Variety magazine said, “I am deeply honored that my story will be showcased to millions of my fans across the globe by Bhushan-ji and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest love and source of strength through all the highs and lows. I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion.”

Yuvraj Singh made his debut for India during the 2000 Champions Trophy. In his second game for India, he scored an impressive 84 versus Australia to announce his arrival. The left-handed batter also played a key role in India’s run to the finals of the 2003 ODI World Cup tournament. 

His biggest moment came when he scored a perfect 36 runs during the 2007 T20 World Cup game versus England. India under MS Dhoni then went on to win the inaugural tournament by beating Pakistan in the final. 

Despite battling severe health issues, Yuvraj Singh played a stellar role during the 2011 ODI World Cup. The then 29-year-old was the star with the bat and ball as India beat Sri Lanka in the finals to win their 2nd title and end their wait for 28 years.
