Sports.Info’s Akhilesh Dhar asked Piyush Chawla if Karun Nair will be given a recall to the side considering his current batting form. “Look, the way Karun Nair has batted this season, there is no doubt he has done well so far. But he has to show the same amount of consistency for one more season to earn a recall to the national side”.

The veteran spinner also added “He is already knocking on the doors for recall to the national team, but one more season of high run scoring, then things will start looking up for him”. Karun Nair scored nearly 800 runs during the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Vidarbha. This feat raises hopes for call-up to the national ODI set-up which failed to materialize.
