Meanwhile, the Indian camp is also grappling with a major concern and that is the unavailability of the star pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and the uncertainty on his fitness reports. Notably, the final clearance on Bumrah’s fitness is yet to be declared or announced by the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where the bowler underwent some crucial scans of his back region.

In the same line of events, former India pacer Ashok Dinda was in an exclusive conversation with Sports.info. Dinda shared his feelings and opinions while speaking about the importance of Jasprit Bumrah’s presence on the Indian side for the Champions Trophy 2025.

“I pray for his speedy recovery so he can play for India” – Ashok Dinda

Dinda also feels that the 31-year-old star India pacer is a world-class bowler and an asset to every captain, alongside being a crucial asset for the Indian team.

“See, if Bumrah is not there, it will be a big setback, he is a world-class bowler and an asset both for any captain and the team India. I pray for his speedy recovery so he can play for India in the Champions Trophy or just stay with the team for the moral boost of Team India. The bowling attack will look quite weak if Bumrah is not there on the side,” said Dinda to Sports.info

Furthermore, the former pacer also spoke about India’s chances for the upcoming ninth edition of the Champions Trophy. He also came up with a suggestion that players should cut the outside noise while taking the field in the tournament.

“Play good cricket, that’s it, and don’t pay attention to what people are saying outside. The Indian squad going into the Champions Trophy 2025 is a very strong team, there’s no doubt about it. India will come back with the Champions Trophy title, let’s hope for the best,” he said.
