Shreyas Iyer leads Irfan Pathan's best playing XII of IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL ) 2025 at Ahmedabad. After winning the game, former RCB skipper Virat Kohli broke down in tears as the team finally ended their 18-year IPL title drought. The match ended with Josh Hazlewood bowling the last delivery, which Shashank Singh hit for six, and Kohli in tears.  While fighting back tears, Kohli fell to the ground as the ball reached the boundary.

Every member of the RCB crew hurried over to give him a passionate group hug. The culmination of a protracted and difficult road was Kohli's victory in the IPL tournament. Since 2008, Kohli has represented RCB, and he has endured the highs and lows that tried his fortitude, as well as the near-misses of 2009, 2011, and 2016. Throughout the IPL 2025, many players made their mark in the biggest league of cricket. However, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan made a combined playing XI from ten teams.

Irfan Pathan has kept Virat Kohli and  Sai Sudharsan in the opening pair. This season, Sai Sudharsan scored 759 runs in 15 games. His form helped him to win the Orange Cap. Coming down the order, Jos Buttler brings power to the top order. Buttler has been a key player for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2025. In the middle order, Irfan Pathan keeps, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, and explosive batter Heinrich Klassen. The middle order looks strong and dangerous. Shreyas Iyer is leading the team of Irfan Pathan.

Players like Naman Dhir and Krunal Pandya do the role of finishing, as both players can finish well. Additional Krunal Pandya bowls, which makes him an important asset to the team. Irfan Pathan has also named Chennai Super Kings’ spinner Noor Ahmad. Even though CSK had a poor season, Noor Ahmad always made an impact for CSK with his bowling. In 14 games, Noor picked 24 wickets. In bowling, he has the likes of he kept Jasprit Bumrah and Josh Hazlewood.

Irfan Pathan names Prasidh Krishna impact player in his IPL 2025 playing XII

Throughout the season, Josh Hazlewood was the star pacer for the RCB campaign.  He was the lead wicket-taking bowler for RCB and helped them to end their 18-year-long wait. As an impact player, former India’s all-rounder kept IPL’s highest wicket-taker Prasidh Krishna. This season, Prasidh Krishna took home the purple cap by picking 25 wickets in 15 games.
